The Cities of Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Lincoln engaged Aquatek to capture WISE data on their cities and provide essential water and irrigation data for calculating their recycled water network demands and an analysis of their irrigation systems.

The outcomes produced for these cities provided leadership and direction for:

• Their recycled reticulation network planning for irrigation.


• The recommended water management approach for automation systems.


• The risks associated with their proposed networks and required statutory approval.

There are still issues and new discoveries being made but things are moving forward and the reliance on valuable high quality potable water is being reduced. These cities will be better prepared for the next cycle of drought, when it comes.
